Project Name: Village of Malta Water Well Project
Request Amount: $340,800
Intended Recipient: Village of Malta
Recipient Address: 449 Main Street, Malta, OH 43758
Financial Disclosure Certification
Request Explanation: This funding would be used for the installation of a new 12" diameter water well to supply the Village of Malta's public water system. The Village currently has one production well down and is struggling to keep up with the demand for all of its customers. The village is taking other measures as well including plans on replacing waterlines and valves that are beyond their useful life and leaking. The addition of another water well would greatly help the village supply water to all those that rely on them for fresh water.

Intended Recipient: City of Coshocton
Recipient Address: 760 Chestnut Street, Coshocton, OH 43812
Financial Disclosure Certification

Water will also be extended to the Riverview school campus which is currently on its own water system. The project would require the installation of a 12" water supply line along US 36 west of SR 16/83 in Coshocton to the east edge of the existing Warsaw water distribution system.

Current average daily flow through the POTW is 0.238 MGD, and it is anticipated that the current design flow will be exceeded by the end of 2024.

Project Name: Village of Thornville Wastewater Treatment Plan Expansion
Request Amount: $5,200,000
Intended Recipient: Village of Thornville
Recipient Address: 1 South Main Street, Thornville, OH 43076
Financial Disclosure Certification
Request Explanation: Funding for this project will be used to expand an existing Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) that serves as a regional treatment plant. The current WWTP serves approximately 1,200 customers and would be looking to almost double its customer base. Without the expansion, development in this region would likely occur with individual septic tanks. This would increase the risk of contamination of groundwater and surface water of Buckeye Lake.

Project Name: Burr Oak Regional Water District Water Expansion Project

Recipient Address: 23554 Jenkins Dam Road, Glouster, OH 45732

The project will include approximately 100,000 feet of 6" through 2" waterlines including hydrants, valves, water services and other appurtenances. The project will expand potable water service to parts of Union, Deerfield, Malta and Penn townships in Morgan County off the existing Bishopville Water District system.

Project Name: Northern Perry County Water & Wastewater Waterline Project
Request Amount: $2,374,640
Intended Recipient: Northern Perry County Water & Wastewater
Recipient Address: 130 South Main St, New Lexington, OH 43764
Financial Disclosure Certification
Request Explanation: This Funding will help Northern Perry County Water District begin phase 6 of a waterline project to extend water service to customers not currently covered by the water district. Many of the residents who live in the area of the proposed waterline are currently using wells, cisterns, or springs. The quality of this water is more difficult to control and therefore contaminants are often present. Microbiological samples of the area show positive results for total coliform and E-coli. These contaminants pose a threat to the health and safety of residents in the area. Additionally, many of the wells, springs, and cisterns have a limited supply and do not always meet the demand of the household. This project will provide a much-needed 150,000-gallon storage tank and a new waterline.

Project Name: North Walnut Township Storm Water Project
Request Amount: $2,000,000
Intended Recipient: Walnut Township

Project Name: US 62-Beech & County Line Road Intersection Realignment
Request Amount: $3,500,000
Intended Recipient: Licking County Transportation Improvement District
Recipient Address: 20 S. Second St Newark, OH 43055
Financial Disclosure Certification
Request Explanation: This project would identify the realignment of Beech and County-Line Roads to create a north-south corridor. It would also address adjacent intersections along USR 62 to improve congestion and delays due to the projected increase in traffic.

Project Name: Fairfield County Rd 7 (Refugee Rd) Improvement Project
Request Amount: $2,500,000
Intended Recipient: Fairfield County Engineer
Recipient Address: 3026 West Fair Avenue Lancaster, OH 43130
Financial Disclosure Certification
Request Explanation: Funding for this project would be for studies and design of a project that would widen, add turn lanes, sidewalks, pathways and improve capacity at intersections along a 3.3 mile section of Refugee Rd in Fairfield County Ohio. This road has been unsafe with fatalities and a serious injury within the past two years. The road is also located within a quarter mile of five schools.

Project Name: TUS-Neighbor Street Bridge Project
Request Amount: $420,000
Intended Recipient: Village of Newcomerstown
Recipient Address: 308 W. Church Street Newcomerstown, Ohio 43832
Financial Disclosure Certification
Request Explanation: Funding for this project involves replacing the existing bridge structure. The superstructure of the bridge which describes the physical condition of the bridge compared to its original as-built condition has a rating of 3 which means deterioration has seriously affected the primary structural components of the bridge. The bridge currently is limited to 30 tons legal capacity because of deterioration. This load limit means that many fire trucks in the area are not able to cross the bridge – this affects response time for fire vehicles. Any further decline in structural integrity would be deemed “critical.”

Project Name: State Route 13 Relocation to South Sandusky St
Request Amount: $425,953
Intended Recipient: City of Mount Vernon
Recipient Address: 40 Public Square, Suite 206 Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050
Financial Disclosure Certification
Request Explanation: The relocation project will create a direct route for traffic utilizing SR 13 throughout the city, reduce the amount of miles traveled, turns, and emissions released. Funding for this relocation project will greatly improve the safety of the SR 13 corridor, reduce congestion along the roadway, and create a more direct route for traffic traveling along SR 13 through the City of Mount Vernon.

Project Name: East Granville Street Widening Project
Request Amount: $6,000,000
Intended Recipient: City of Sunbury
Recipient Address: 9 East Granville St. (P.O. Box 508) Sunbury, OH 43074
Financial Disclosure Certification
Request Explanation: Funding for this project will go to widening and reconstruction of approximately 1,500 feet of East Granville Street (SR 37) between Morning Street and Letts Avenue in the city of Sunbury. It would remove the railway abutments, create wider travel lanes, and add new bicycle and pedestrian facilities. The project will address significant multimodal connectivity and safety concerns along this stretch of East Granville Street. The existing two-lane roadway is deficient and creates a hazardous environment for both pedestrians and motorists due to its ten-foot lane width.

Project Name: Coshocton CR 16 Resurfacing Project
Request Amount: $255,000
Intended Recipient: Coshocton County Engineer
Recipient Address: 23194 CR 621 Coshocton, Ohio 43812
Financial Disclosure Certification
Request Explanation: Funding for this project will go to the re-pavement of County Road 16 in Coshocton. This is one of the busiest roads in Coshocton County, directly connecting the two largest municipalities in the county. It is also the most direct route to the Coshocton regional Medical Center for citizens in the eastern part of the county.
