Secretary Kennedy on the Hill
Improving the health and well-being of Ohioans in creative and forward-thinking ways continues to be one of my top priorities. As co-chair of the Congressional Digital Health Caucus, I’ve worked to expand access to telehealth services and champion innovative tools that bring high-quality, affordable care directly to patients—whether they’re in a clinic or at home.
One of the most promising developments in this space is the rise of wearable health technology—everything from smart rings to fitness bands and biometric trackers. These tools are giving people greater control over their own health data and helping providers deliver more personalized, proactive care.
Last week, I raised this issue directly with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. during a subcommittee hearing. He responded with overwhelming support for the expansion of wearables and applauded the power of technology to improve health outcomes and lower costs. [WATCH HERE]
