President Trump Signs Historic Trade Agreement

Earlier today, President Trump signed the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement into law, which makes historic changes that bring North American trade into the 21st Century. This is a major win for Ohio's families, farmers, workers, and businesses. It's predicted that the USMCA will support more than 428,000 existing Ohio jobs and create tens of thousands more over the next decade.

In 2018, almost $28 billion in goods and services were exported from Ohio to Canada and Mexico, which are the United States’ number one and number two trading partners.

Celebrated news by farmers across Ohio, the USMCA includes provisions that enable the fair trade of agriculture and expand exports of American products such as dairy and poultry into new markets. The deal also includes a previously-nonexistent section on digital trade.

More importantly, USMCA instills confidence and puts America's workers first!

During recent visits, the passion I observed from students and faculty was nothing short of awe-inspiring. If you or your organization are seeking talented, ambitious employees to take on available jobs, check out what your local career training programs have to offer.
