WORTHINGTON, OH — Congressman Troy Balderson today announced Ohio’s 12th Congressional District’s service academy nominations for the Class of 2025.
“We are once again putting our communities’ finest young leaders forward with these service academy nominations,“ said Congressman Balderson. “Ohio’s 12th Congressional District is home to so many remarkable applicants, and I am confident that each student chosen by our nominating committee will serve with honor and distinction.”
Before earning an appointment to a U.S. Service Academy, students must be nominated by their Congressman, Senator, or the Vice President of the United States. An ad hoc panel, consisting of current and former military leaders as well as community leaders, assisted Congressman Balderson with screening candidates and conducting interviews. During the competitive nomination and appointment process, students are evaluated on their academic records, athletic achievements, and leadership qualities.
Several students earned nominations to multiple academies.
