I'm excited to announce the launch of my new website, which can be found at https://balderson.house.gov. There, you can track my work in Congress, contact me for assistance with a federal agency, and stay in touch, among other features.

Showcasing Central Ohio's
Tourism Industry at Travel Works Roadshow
Tourism thrives when communities work together. From hiking, to motorcycling, to sports, and great food, we have a little bit of something here in Central Ohio for everybody. Pleased to join the U.S. Travel Association this week at Columbus State Community College to discuss unique collaborative efforts underway aimed at promoting the abundance of travel and tourism destinations in our communities.

Highlighting the Role of 179th Airlift Wing as Community and Military Asset
Ohio’s 179th Airlift Wing is a vital asset to the Richland County community, our state and our national security. A special thanks to Col. Todd K. Thomas for hosting my colleague Representative Mike Turner and I to discuss opportunities for strengthening their important mission.

Updating Southeast Ohio Leaders on USMCA, Infrastructure Investments, and More
Pleased to join my colleague Representative Bill Johnson at Muskingum University to update local and regional officials on the work we’re doing in Washington to support job creation and spur opportunities for Southeast Ohio.

Mexico and Canada are both on board with the USMCA, everyone is waiting on America. We need to get this done.

Focusing on Job Creation
Throughout August, I had the opportunity to visit a number of job creators and business organizations, and one theme continues to stand out: the need for more skilled workers to fill available jobs.

One of my driving passions is workforce development, and that’s why I’m proud to be the Ranking Member of the Innovation and Workforce Development Subcommittee of the House Small Business Committee. We need to find solutions that support our workforce and businesses alike so that today’s students are better prepared to enter tomorrow’s job market.

I look forward to taking the suggestions and concerns from these visits back to my colleagues in Washington so we can begin working on common-sense solutions focused on growing our economy.
