Congressman Troy Balderson Meets with Local Government

Local government gathered together at Bryan’s Place to discuss their issues and concerns.

Congressman Troy Balderson (R – OH) met with Mayor Jeff Tilton, County Commissioners, Port Authority and County Engineers on Monday, March 18th. He continues to focus on workforce development, transportation and infrastructure, and jobs within the community.

“I’m encouraging them to give me some more information,” Balderson said. “We’ve been fortunate enough to be placed on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and on the Sub-Committee for roads and highways so I’m very excited about that and we’re going to have to do something.”

Balderson said throughout the Counties and the 12th Congressional District there are similar concerns involving funding, regulatory issues, roads, and bridges. During the meeting, Balderson introduced his team and explained who is best to contact for certain issues.

“Also give them the opportunity to speak to me directly,” Balderson said. “I communicate directly with almost everyone in this room on the telephone on a weekly basis, if not weekly, a couple of times a month anyway. Just to sit down and give them the information that they need to know for contacts, for questions pertaining to anything that they may have.”

Balderson said he is always working on opportunities for the area with projects such as economic development and the AT&T Broadband expansion.
