The 60th Inaugural Ceremonies will be held at the U.S. Capitol on Monday, January 20, 2025 as President Donald J. Trump is sworn in for his second term and delivers his inaugural address. The Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC) plans and executes all Inaugural activities at the U.S. Capitol, including the Inaugural Swearing-in Ceremonies of the President-elect and Vice President-elect of the United States. While Congressman Balderson's office is no longer accepting requests for tickets, you can still witness this historic event from the designated public viewing areas on the National Mall.

Event Details
President-elect Trump will be sworn in to office on Monday, January 20th, at noon. Gates will open to guests at 9:00 AM. All guests are required to go through airport-style security, and the lines can be lengthy. Please plan accordingly.
Non-Ticketed Attendance
Please note that non-ticketed viewing areas on the National Mall west of 4th Street NW will be open to the public.
Weather
This is an outdoor, uncovered event. January in Washington, DC, is typically cold and wet, so prepare for potential weather challenges and please dress accordingly.
Security
Security will be extremely tight. Roads will be closed for short and long periods, causing disruptions in normal travel patterns, so please allow extra time for getting around the city.
All ticketed guests will be required to go through airport-style security. Lines are expected to be long, so please plan accordingly.
Additionally, the list of permitted items is far shorter than prohibited items. A list of permitted and prohibited items will be made available by the United States Secret Service (USSS) closer to the event. For planning purposes, weapons, utility knives, folding chairs, strollers, bags/backpacks, laser pointers, drones, umbrellas, laptop computers, and cameras with telescopic lenses are never permitted at USSS events. Food has also not been allowed in years past.
How can I view the President Trump's parade route?
After being sworn in, the president goes on a ceremonial parade down Pennsylvania Avenue NW from the U.S. Capitol to the White House. The parade will begin at approximately 3 p.m. on Inauguration Day.
