WASHINGTON – Following his recent placement on the House Committee on Agriculture, Congressman Troy Balderson (R-12th District) has been appointed to the House Subcommittee on Commodity Exchanges, Energy and Credit and the House Subcommittee on Conservation and Forestry.
The Subcommittee on Commodity Exchanges, Energy, and Credit has jurisdiction over policies, statutes, and markets relating to commodity exchanges; agricultural credit; rural development; energy; and rural electrification. The Subcommittee on Conservation and Forestry has jurisdiction over policies and statutes relating to resource conservation, forestry, and all forests under the jurisdiction of the Committee on Agriculture. Since his appointment to the agriculture committee, Balderson has introduced bipartisan legislation that would support Ohio’s rural farmers during the ongoing pandemic. The Rural Equal Aid Act awaits consideration in both the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate. |
